PIER Premier Network
Seeking solutions for your Medical School?
Need to share electronic personnel or grant data
within the entire Institute or Enterprise?
Have a large Department with oversight of multiple
decentralized Divisions? PIER Premier Network
is designed as an enterprise-wide solution for
decentralized entities. PIER Premier Network
provides capability for a virtually unlimited number
of users (front-end clients) to connect to any
number of data warehouses (back-end databases) on
your network.
With a PIER Premier Network deployment, front-end
clients are configured according to your
specification for access to one or more back-end
databases you authorize. Provide a single
database back-end to be shared within each Division,
Center, or individual group of users.
Authorize one or more alternate users to attach,
update, retrieve, or report data from any or all
entity-specific databases on the network. PIER
Premier Network is ideal for multiple entity
(centralized) roll-up reporting, and data
maintenance responsibility rests with each
decentralized entity.
PIER Premier Network includes all the functionality
of
PIER
Standard Workstation for each user, and the
functionality of
PIER Standard Network for each group sharing a
distinct back-end database. A deployment of PIER
Premier Network
enables everyone in the Institute, Enterprise or
large Department to contribute to the benefit of the
organization as a whole, while simultaneously
benefiting their own area.
Effort Reporting
With PIER Premier Network, Just-in-Time
effort reporting becomes truly a group effort.
Roll-up effort reports
as Percentage of Effort or
Person Months. Produce "Other Support Page"
reports for any investigator maintained in any
connected database - and in the precise
agency-requested format. Stop asking for
Divisional reports - produce them immediately from
the Division's database.
Project Management
Missed Project
expirations causing unnecessary cost-transfer
entries in your organization? PIER Premier
Network brings an
end to these woes. PIER's extensive reports
can be produced from data in any connected database, showing precisely which Projects are ending, and
who will be impacted.
Effort Management
Has your organization lost track of effort commitments?
Significant effort reductions require funding agency
approval. PIER
Premier Network lets each workgroup track the
original effort request, and the investigator's current effort
commitment. Roll-up institutional or
extramural support information to authorized
Department- or Organization-responsible individuals. Track
any investigator's historical effort
commitments between award periods, along with their
corresponding salary and fringe benefit value.
Easily identify current or upcoming funding lapses.
Personnel Management
Are the organization's Departments and Divisions relying on payroll reports
to know who's being paid from their Projects?
Paying stipends to students and fellows from
training grants or fellowships? PIER Premier
Network lets each
workgroup
track all personnel - irrespective
of how they're paid. Create categories for
each workgroup to assign to their personnel, and
roll-up these reports when
needed. PIER's Control Panel allows each
workgroup or authorized organizational individual to selectively filter
personnel into view based on Category, Department,
Division, or Area. Produce impressive and
detailed telephone lists or labels for folders and
mailings - and from any connected workgroup's
database.
